Confounder I will go to ground and turn my body round, This is the place to know, I’ll confuse and I’ll confound. The earth is dark the river swift, the trees are tall and strong, In the bay a sailing skiff with keel both smooth and long. I will grow my hopes and let my smiling show, Paint on all my clothes, put stones on peaceful toes; In sudden winds I’m lifted up, set, reset and set again. Wild, unmarked and free to choose, my folded heart untamed. Both hands in the land to weigh my spirit down, My origami ventricles pump with paper sound. Seen from the side I’m less than air, a trick played once and doubled; The value placed upon my life brings calculated trouble. A fool once played or spent is counted and discarded, The love that I feel is tempered, forged and hardened. A paper knife to open you with abandon and composure, The humour of the story comes at its final closure.

The Shakey Man Get to a place where I can't stand straight Feel the electricalation of it all - Static but I can't stop jigging I'm Here to read your meter mister, feel your bumps. Caught the beat some time back from the wire less, Tapped my feet then taped them together, Damn things won't stop, take one beat And add another ad infi nytum. All that dancing did for me was cock my tail, Shaken like a Jamaican Rhumba can't You let a body be before my teeth come loose? Pneumatic drill I'll dig your holes and then some Come on round the shack with me, Understand the true nature of a vibro phono Music on the bounce, choose your scale And we'll wonkey it up fine sister, I'm the Shakey Man and you'll know it When you've met me.

Journeywoman Towards the Southern Pole, magnetised The iron of my will drawn down To a fine point, a pin’s hole through The obscurity of visions. Turquoise waters slide and pulse Above sands ground fine By rolling actions, slow smoothing, The wrinkles of the earth made flat. I will walk to the rim with you and step off, Fall from this disc of dinners eaten and Paths walked, drop from the plate of the world into otherness, spinning and unravelling, return the golden fleece to the guided lamb. We are argonauts. We are pollen. We are bound for foreign shores. We are harmony and discord. We are the questions. We will dissolve and crystallise. We are nothing and all things. We bleed and shed blood. We make this journey with no expectations and the joy of life, the fires of our spirits burning brightly together.
4.
The Confiscator Your look is pathetic your scheme diuretic your colours are putrid and wan. For ideas you have wishes like jellified fishes you are not, never will be The Man. If I were your mother I'd look for another a model to love not eschew. Should I hear that again You'll drive me insane your voice is like crab paste and glue. Youve no sense of rhythm and a monotom schism your swing is too swung to be true. In the blink of an eye It all goes awry you only need open your mouth. I think you can see you should give that to me your talents have stunted your growth. Its not the size of your ego that concerns me, oh no no but how its used by your sad little self.

The Fuse 03:47
The Fuse Looking out at the world, Set alight by beauty, Rendered speechless by lines and shadow, Stopped dead by birdsong and insect chirr; I burn for you and burning, bring passion, ours, yours, mine. Welding response to action I am the arc of your soul, Flying across the evening sky, Red clouds against cobalt, indigo, blue. Looking out across the world We are more than flesh, The powder of dry thought Flashes, ignites, erupts; I carry ideas, cauterise your sorrows. Incendiary scintillations, Enthused and clear; The incisive vehicle of dreams. Scissors, paper, rock - The game is here to be played.
6.
Skeleton Woman Your noise, your static hiss, your indifferential eyes; come down, descend this cliff through dust and heat and lies. I burn for you, spit roast, shaking with cold passion; come into my embrace Surrender to this fusion. My charred flesh begins to heal, one pound for each tear fallen; your sorrow my first meal I feast on your compassion. Tight I hold you now dear and your life is mine to share; my smile your thrill and fear so Welcome, my love, come here. Come here, let me stop your heart, take the grief away; Life is nothing to cry for I am your ending not the start.

Specific Goddess You'd better pray that praying works and through these words transcend them. You'd better pray that you affirm my grave concerns and I am not offended. You'd better pray for clear blue skies, clement and dry, without precipitation. You'd better pray for better or worse life is no curse nor incantation. You'd better prey on the old and weak with charm and cheek Oh prodigal child. You'd better pray that god is good and time, like blood, can be beguiled. You'd better pray, you'd better hunt, control, confront your inner vices. You'd better stay thy fervent hand oh sacred man, corroborate your crisis. This is the prayer or dearest wish that feels as if you meant it. So clasp your hands and cast your thoughts, both forged and wrought, chance and choice fomented. I am the one you choose to dream, called but not seen, your specific Goddess. You'd better pray my noble friend that the dreams I send aren't worthless.

The Law 03:09
Repeat After Me (The Law) Giving my hand I withdraw it to offer it again in the same spirit - A need to be sure the gift was wanted in tune on time. Hand, foot and mouth Existentialities Give, step, speak Hand, foot and mouth minor eccentricities a word from the weak. Placing my foot I lift it to plant it once again in the same print - A need to be sure the step was correct aligned complete. Hand, foot and mouth Existentialities Give, step, speak Hand, foot and mouth minor eccentricities a word from the weak. Opening my mouth I shut it to speak again with the same voice - A need to be sure the words have meaning are needed and true. Hand, foot and mouth Existentialities Give, step, speak Hand, foot and mouth minor eccentricities a word from the weak.

The Truant 04:03
The Truant (A Sea Shanty) I’ve gone out fishing, looking lovely in net caught cold stone napping, carborundum and wet life grinds me sharper, makes me keen to forfend takes off the dull edge, all beliefs re-suspended. Truancy officer, fair-weather flake look me up dress me down I’m a card, no mistake. You came to see me as someone to see through sent you a postcard so you’ll take a view too I signed the contract with invisible ink I may leave a small smell but I won’t raise a stink. Truancy officer, fair-weather flake look me up dress me down I’m a card, no mistake. Diminishing dial tones, my bell ringing out all calls unanswered within and without doubt my wherewithall isn’t where I put it down last I’d go out to find it if I could be assed. Truancy officer, fair-weather flake look me up dress me down I’m a card, no mistake. Pass the wine, Ouzo, the crass pop tune cheeries so good at decline, so bored and so leery chin to the future, the now and the then, then this void in my head space was made and now mended An absentee landlord whose front door is broken a heart that is half of an underground token gestures that keep me in isolate beauty separate thusly my needs from my duty. Truancy officer, fair-weather flake look me up dress me down I’m a card, no mistake.

Queen of Sorts Climbing growth of eel hair, I am alive to fortune’s music, Blasting calls of mayhem; Full bodied, blooded, aware. Throw down your bones, brother, Your flesh and grey matters; Submit to fierce intent - I am donor, surgeon, lover. My sword is a moment Of change cut clean away, A flower will open for you Giving truth, belief, assent. The prophetess encased By zephyr winds of change Will travel here to find you And bring your dream’s release.

12.
King of This Day Behind the peacock’s tail I stand and listen; a susurration from mouths uncountable and unknown thickens the air and fills me. Balloon head, I, King of this day; a shimmering man I step out in bright robes parting green feathers, out upon the dais an incandescent soul propelled by song an hydrogen bag I will explode - Firework, I, Star of this day; firmamenting, I will intoxicate your molecules so drink me down.
13.
The Truthsayer I am clear, let it be known, my truth revealed, like water, running across, the folded fields. Diamond eyes, cut glassy stare, seeing, beleiving; here my balls, bull ram buck steer, the feeling is pleasing. Don’t play games, I’ll catch your drift, and toss it back; speak your mind, inside is out, and hear the craic. Come tell me, you can confess, for such I know - earn my trust, I deserve more, how low can you go? We must talk, our hearts and minds dear, yours open, mine concealed. I am clear, let it be known, my truth revealed.

about

Transfigured is a sounding together of all things, a diapason, a cacophony of understanding. Performers and audience step across the threshold of knowledge, step out into the world together. In the year 2002 a pack of cards was thrown from a car window and over a hedge. The pack burst open in the air and the cards were scattered across the landscape. Some of the cards landed face up. The hand dealt on that day has moved out and forwards into this moment. They have become manifest. They have something to say. Pick a card, any card..............
Music and choreography devised by Oceanallover. Transfigured is designed and directed by Alex Rigg, with creative contributions from all of the cast members. For further information about the project please go to :
